Premium Ti Kuan Yin Oolong Tea
Ti Kuan yin, literally means "Iron Goddess of Mercy," is a premium Chinese Oolong tea that originated in the 19th century in the Anxi of Fujian province in China. According to legend, there was a poor farmer named Wei who passed by a run-down temple which held an iron statue of Bodhisattva of compassion. While on his way to his tea farm, he would reflect on the abandoned condition of this temple. He decided one day that he would repair the temple. The next day he brought a broom and some incense, swept the temple clean and lit some incense to offer the Godness of Mercy. After some time passed by, Kuan Yi appeared to him in a dream, telling him that a treasure awaited him behind the temple. There he found a tea shoot, then planted it in his field, nurtured it into the finest tea, which he called Ti Kuan Ying.
